# High Seas Section

High Seas is the sailing part of the mod. It gives Sable ships sails that run on a real wind, a rudder to steer, an outboard engine, oars, an anchor, and a few things to have fun on the water.

The Ship Sail and the Rudder have a Ponder scene in game: hold W over them in your inventory.

## A first sailboat

1. Build a hollow hull. It floats on the air inside it, see [Boats](/create-deep-seas-wiki/high-seas/mechanics/boats.md).
2. Put a [Rudder](/create-deep-seas-wiki/high-seas/rudder.md) at the stern, under the waterline.
3. Raise a mast and put [Ship Sails](/create-deep-seas-wiki/high-seas/ship-sail.md) on it.
4. Assemble it and put it in the water. Check the [Wind Vane](/create-deep-seas-wiki/high-seas/wind-vane.md) and sail with the wind behind you.

For calm days, add a [Boat Engine](/create-deep-seas-wiki/high-seas/boat-engine.md).
