# Submarine Propeller

A propeller made for water. It pushes hard underwater and does nothing at all in the air.

## How to use it

Place it on the submarine, facing where you want the thrust, and drive it with a shaft like any Aeronautics propeller. The faster it spins, the harder it pushes. Reverse the rotation to reverse the thrust.

## Big propellers

Place several propellers side by side, all facing the same way, and they merge into one big propeller:

| Shape      | Thrust           | Stress per propeller |
| ---------- | ---------------- | -------------------- |
| Single     | 1x               | 1x                   |
| 2x2 square | 16x a single one | 4x                   |
| 3x3 square | 81x a single one | 9x                   |

So four propellers in a square push four times harder than four separate ones, and nine in a 3x3 push nine times harder than nine separate ones. They cost more stress in return.

The square must stand on its own: no other Submarine Propeller can touch it, or it does not merge.

## Good to know

* Above the water it gives no thrust at all, so it is useless on a plane or out of the water.
* Its power can be tuned with `submarinePropellerPowerMultiplier` in the server config.

**Details to look for**

* It leaves a trail of bubbles behind it while it spins underwater.
* A merged propeller is drawn as one big propeller, twice or three times as wide, spinning around the middle of the square. Break one of its blocks and it splits back into single propellers.
